Trauma care in India
pchopra
Can anybody give me an overview of the current Trauma care system in India???

I am certainly not the right person to comment on your question. Of what little I know, there is no such thing as a 'trauma care system'. You could describe the current system at best as 'patchy'!!! Some centres have fully embraced western models (with the introduction of ITLS/EMTC courses on the lines of ATLS) where others still rely on 'good sams' and 'the lot' to be fixed....

However, the positive change of note is the willingness of most centres to embrace newer models and techniques in trauma care. It certainly would take some more time before there is a uniform approach to trauma care in India. Better late than never...
