The Medical Council of India has recognized St. Johns Medical College Hospital, Bangalore for 1 seat of MD in Emergency Medicine. The Department of Accident & Emergency Medicine at St Johns is one of the oldest academic emergency departments in India and has had a 1 year training program, Fellowship in Emergency Medicine, since the late 90s. The MD(EM) seat will be available only through a separate entrance test conducted by St Johns.
