EM, SEMI & MCI: MD Emergency Medicine - When and How Initiated?

The Society of Emergency Medicine India (SEMI) recommends that the Medical Council of India (MCI) sit with it and other societies working in the sphere of EM to improve and upgrade standards of this specialty. MCI should retrospectively recognize the degrees granted to emergency physicians by various UGC recognized universities across the country. Training should be given to other specialists interested in Emergency Medicine with the help of existing emergency physicians.
