Vinayaka Missions Hospital, Salem gets MD-Emergency Medicine

The Medical Council of India has recognized Vinayaka Missions Hospital, Salem, Tamil Nadu for 2 postgraduate seats of MD in Emergency Medicine. The Department of Accident & Emergency Medicine at Vinayaka Salem is one of the older academic emergency departments in India and has had a deemed university program, MD in Accident & Emergency Medicine, since September 2006. The MD (EM) is due to start from July 2012 onwards.
Congratulatory emails were being sent to Dr. V. P. Chandrasekaran, the Head of Vinayaka Emergency Department, who is also the current President of the Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI).
